Alexander has fostered a passion for theatre from an early age, following this, he focused his education on the arts, earning his BFA in design from Ithaca College. After establishing a studio in New York, Alexander returned to school pursuing his MFA in Set Design from the Yale School of Drama. With The Sound Inside at Studio 54, Alexander became the youngest scenic designer on Broadway in 2019. 

  Mr. Woodward has found delight collaborating on projects that span the entertainment industry: most frequently in scenic design for the stage. He believes each show is an opportunity to create theatre that both entertains, inspires questions, and invites commentary long after the final curtain falls. As a designer and educator Alexander has been an avid proponent of arts advocacy, exploring all aspects of our medium as a form for social change & a tool to shape the environment around us. Alexander is a Shubert Scholarship recipient, Donald M. Oenslager fellow, Broadway Green Alliance University Chapter Mentor, a proud member of United Scenic Artists Local 829 and Wingspace Theatrical Design.
